Romeo has worked in fish farming at Barra Base, Port Hurd, Bathurst Island and the Forestry plantations on Melville Island. Bede Tungatalum and Barry Kantilla have been role models for Romeo with his carving work. Romeo was involved in many exhibitions with Ngaruwanajirri and is known for his lovely crocodile carvings as well as elegant bird and tutini carvings.

Romeo was an important arts worker at Ngaruwanajirri, with skills in carving, painting, chainsaw use, bark collecting and preparation with great computer skills.
